Sigma Psi Zeta Sorority, Inc. is a progressive, multicultural Greek Organization that provides a means to success and support for women and non-binary individuals, particularly those of color. The sorority builds on the unity of strong and independent leaders to affect change in our organization, our campuses, and our local communities.
We were chartered at Drexel University on July 13th, 2002 and have been part of the Greek community on campus for over 20 years.
THE 10 RAYS OF
Sisterhood
When our sorority first began, our ten Founders came together to establish an organization that would better their university and community. These ten women united together to create a lasting entity. The Ten Rays of Sisterhood, like the ten Founders, form the basis for our sorority. They are the characteristics all sisters work to best exemplify.
WHY SIGMAS?
OUR EVERLASTING SYZTERHOOD
SYZterhood lasts beyond your time in the sorority and college years. Here, you will find lifelong friendships; many SYZters are best friends, roommates, and even bridesmaids. Joining Sigmas gives you the chance to connect with a diverse group of strong women who support each other as a community to help each other strive for and achieve their own personal, academic, and life goals.
FIND YOUR COMMUNITY
College can feel overwhelming and new. Sigmas can become a community for you to feel a sense of belonging and help guide you through your college experience. With Sigmas, you can find a community with a purpose, as we strive for our goals and support our philanthropy!
NOT WHO YOU ARE, NOT WHO YOU WERE, BUT WHO YOU WANT TO BE
We like to say that there is no typical Sigma. Our SYZterhood is not a mold for women to fit into. Our differences enhance and enrich our SYZterhood. Our SYZters define themselves through their personal stories and the ways their unique contributions elevate our sorority. We believe in the potential of all of our members, and hope that time spent here helps our members to grow into and become strong individuals.
